I spend 6 peaceful nights at the Puri Asri and stayed in the Jolgo cottage. It's a small, one-roomed, wooden dwelling which creaked and was really homely. Can highly recommend it. The view from the small veranda was on the tranquil looking pool. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is situated south of the Monkey Forest and seemed far away from the relentless busyness of Ubud centre. I'm hoping to go back next year.
“Serene hideaway with perfect hosts”

Well, I’ve just checked out from a wonderful 5 night stay at Puri Asri Villas. This is a little slice of lush tropical heaven with the most attentive, smiling & genuinely delightful hosts. I have had the most wonderful time in Ubud. This is my favourite part of Bali. Puri Asri Villas are hidden in a beautiful paved trail to each of the villas. There are 2 pools, day beds near the pools & sitting areas for the guest. The villas vary quite a bit. I kept extending my stay, so I did have a couple of room changes! They are all a bit different. My first villa was a more traditional villa. Stunning wood panelling, king size bed, fabulous air conditioning & full ensuite. Each villa has its own water tank, which was a great bonus, so unlimited fresh bottled water. I loved the first villa, very spacious & homely. My next move was to an upstairs villa. This was a little smaller, but the view over the gardens was lovely. My final villa was a downstairs villa which was much much cooler than the others. It didn’t have the day heat & so the aircon was switched off for most of the time. Breakfast is a bit of a social affair, the restaurant staff were so lovely, smiling & genuinely interested in your stay being a happy one. Families who had small babies were very very excited to have the most wonderful young waitresses babysit while they enjoyed their meals. It really was perfect. Thank you to my amazing hosts who made my trip a relaxing and special trip. Everything about Puri Asri Villa is warm & inviting. This was a very last minute decision to book accommodation in Ubud. Each time I’ve been to Bali, for some reason, I end up in Ubud. It’s so beautiful. The people are beautiful, friendly & eager to show you their piece of paradise. I can’t wait to come back. To the wonderful staff at Puri Asri Villas, thank you for making me feel so welcome. Thank you for making this such a special visit.
“A villa in a beautiful garden”
~ Anders_Briders
Our room was a separate house in a wonderful garden. About ten meters away we had a very nice pool, and a small house where, with a short notice, we could have a massage. Breakfast is excellent and abundant, and an afternoon tea is also provided, which is pleasant if you are in the hotel. You are very close to the entrance to the Monkey Forest. There is a shuttle service to the center, but we found it easier to get two scooters. The location a bit far from the center of Ubud (which can also be a positive factor), and the shortest way to reach it (if you do not pass through the Monkey Forest) is a bit unpleasant because it is a narrow path full of scooters running in both directions. The driver whom the hotel provided us for a ride to the north was a bit odd. This is not the hotel's fault, but perhaps it is generally better to contact drivers personally.
